AND THE MOST JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE ON EARTH ARE …

AND THE MOST JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE ON EARTH ARE …

By Paul Bremmer

Progressives in America need to realize that when they point a finger at conservatives for “judging” various identity groups, there are three other fingers pointing back at them, journalist and author Jack Cashill says.

“The irony is that the left has prided itself historically on being anti-judgmental,” Cashill said in a recent interview on Phyllis Schlafly’s “Eagle Forum Live” radio show. “I mean, they have introduced that word ‘judgmental’ as though it were bad, and yet they are the most judgmental people on the planet.”

The things on which progressives pass judgment change from day to day, Cashill noted. He pointed to the recent controversy over use of the term “anchor baby” to describe the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants.

It was a term used by Senate Minority leader Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., on the Senate floor in 1993. His conclusion was that “no sane country” would allow illegal immigrants to so easily gain a foothold.

But when Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Jeb Bush uttered “anchor babies” last week, ABC reporter Tom Llamas charged the term was offensive. He suggested calling an anchor baby an “American child of undocumented immigrants.” Bush’s use of the term is now being treated as a gaffe by the media.

Cashill, a WND columnist, finds it infuriating that progressives are raising a stink over the term “anchor babies” at a time when several undercover videos have shown Planned Parenthood employees casually discussing the buying and selling of aborted-baby parts.

“These people who are willing to endorse groups that dismember real babies, unborn babies, healthy unborn babies and trafficking their body parts are dictating to us our morality?” Cashill asked. “How did we let them get away with this?”

Americans also have allowed progressives to define public morality, according to Cashill. And conservatives are not without blame.

“We’ve seen our political leaders buckle in the face of the merest insults or name-calling, the fear of being called a racist, the fear of being called a sexist, the fear of being called a xenophobe has led to some very bad policy decisions on the parts of Republicans, always prodded of course by Democrats and their progressive puppeteers,” he said.

“Cashill’s newest book, “Scarlet Letters: The Ever-Increasing Intolerance of the Cult of Liberalism Exposed,” deals with this very topic of leftist name-calling.

In it, Cashill identifies the “seven deadly sins” against intolerant progressives: racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia and climate-change denialism.

Cashill calls self-righteous progressives “neo-Puritans” for their rigid adherence to a secular faith. And he believes this secular faith is actually the world’s second-oldest faith – the faith that humans can be like gods, as the serpent promised Adam in the Garden of Eden.

“For the left, they’ve adopted the idea that man can create his own universe more successfully than God can, and so they’re always tinkering,” he said. “They’re always improving. They’re always refining. And yet, as we know, it’s not like they’re making anything better. They’re simply appealing to their interest groups and calling it progress when in fact it’s regress.”

The “neo-Puritans” don’t tolerate dissent, according to Cashill. They assume anyone who disagrees with them has sinister motivations.

“So if you don’t believe in affirmative action, you’re racist,” he said. “If you don’t believe in illegal immigration, you’re a xenophobe. If you don’t believe that the earth is going to turn into a cinder in the next 10 years, you’re a climate-change denialist, a term they borrowed from the Holocaust. That’s how sinister their use of language is.”

Phyllis Schlafly, the host, jumped in and offered another historical comparison for what progressive are doing.

“It’s kind of like an inquisition, where you’re guilty before you even have a trial,” said Schlafly, a WND columnist and author of “Who Killed the American Family?”

Cashill acknowledged that not every part of the “neo-Puritan” coalition would naturally be in harmony. Most notably, two of the seven deadly sins are Islamophobia and homophobia, but Muslims could be considered “homophobes,” too, considering their religion’s intolerance of “gays.” But Cashill said such considerations don’t matter in the short term, because all parts of the coalition have the same goal.

“Muslim radicals wouldn’t seem to have much in common with gay rights activists, except they have the same enemy,” he said. “And that same enemy is traditional Judeo-Christian America. And their goal at this stage in both cases is to pull down the supports that maintain those traditions and those institutions.

“When that battlefield clears, if they win, they’re obviously going to have some trouble reconciling one group that wants to celebrate homosexuals and the other group that wants to stone them to death. They’re not exactly compatible worldviews.”

In fact, Cashill claimed Muslims used the homosexual lobby as an example of how to become part of the liberal grievance industry.

“Muslim activists saw the success that gay activists were having with the term ‘homophobe,’ so they borrowed the ‘phobe’ from the gays, who they would stone to death on their own terms, and they added it to Islam and then they used that as a weapon,” he said.

The neo-Puritan coalition invents new sins all the time, Cashill argued.

Witness the Bruce/Caitlin Jenner transformation saga. Two months ago, the author said, comedians were joking about Bruce Jenner. Then Jenner became a woman, gave a lengthy interview to ABC’s Diane Sawyer and received ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Now anyone who refers to “Bruce Jenner” is called a hater or “transphobe.”

“One day transitioning from male to female is bizarre, next day it’s sacred,” Cashill noted. “They have so imposed this kind of counterfeit morality on America that it is hard to know where it’s going to pop up next, so you always have to be vigilant.”

THE DNC NEEDS A PLAN B

THE DNC NEEDS A PLAN B

“Not since the Vietnam War has there been this level of disappointment in the behavior of America throughout the world, and I don’t think that another incredibly polarizing figure, no matter how smart she is and no matter how ambitious she is — and God knows, is there anybody more ambitious than Hillary Clinton? — can bring the country together.  David Geffen, 2007

One in four democrats now believe that Hillary Clinton should suspend her campaign. Newly released emails paint an ugly picture regarding our nation’s national security and paint an even uglier picture of Benghazi. The former secretary of state is slowly becoming what one weary democratic donor called a “Side Show.”   In her next national show, The Benghazi Hearings,  Hillary will go under oath and take the stand in order to answer to the tens-of- thousands of pages of new information,  much of which was just released due to a federal judges order, her current FBI criminal investigation and multiple FOIA requests.  Trey Gowdy will be leading these hearings sometime in October, and I am certain that national security will be a focal point of his questioning.  Maybe these hearings will provide us with that historical “October Surprise” that surprisingly occurs during election cycles, and  maybe her answer of “What difference does it make,” will look just as foolish the second time around.

Meanwhile, in another side show, the Pro Jo memo is circulating to the members of the DNC and just one week prior to the DNC summer meeting in Minneapolis.  Barack Obama has now blessed Joe after hanging with Hillary and Bill in the Hamptons last week.  Elizabeth “High Cheek Bones” Warren, has “secretly” met with Joe.  Top Democratic donors have been invited to meet with Joe after Labor Day.  Most of us had a cup of Joe this morning. Joe is trending, and not due to his latest gaffe. This BFD is his potential announcement to run for the presidency.  At the age of 72, that is a BFD.

The presidential ticket for the Democrat Party does not have any clear winners.  The Democrats have an identity crisis, as never more evident in this exchange between the DNC mouthpiece Chris Matthews and the other mouthpiece, Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  When the DNC chairwoman cannot explain the difference between a socialist and a democrat, the party is either lost or exposed.   Due to this shift, many Blue-Dog Democrats have been left in this progressive wake.  These orphans could easily emerge as the “Trump Democrats” the GOP candidate who is currently leading in the polls–just as there were Reagan Democrats; and with an administration that rivals the malaise of Carter, these are the democrats ready to jump the sinking ship. The wedge issues of immigration and abortion are no longer the DNC’s strongest bargaining chips.  When the StemExpress CEO, Cate Dyer, is shown laughing about how StemExpress purchases fully intact aborted babies from Planned Parenthood, the Dems favorite wedge issue of abortion has taken a severe, morally depraved turn. I have to believe that the majority of the country is more conservative than this barbarism.

Yet the rise of Socialists like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren cannot be overlooked.  As Trump fills stadiums with tens of thousands, so does Bernie. But, the DNC cannot give the nomination to Bernie Sanders, a socialist, or they ruin their “moderate-progressive” brand.  What is the DNC Plan B?  A moderate-progressive ticket–a Biden Warren ticket who can charm the moderates and appease the Sander’s #FeelTheBern socialists. Corporate cronyism is Warren’s favorite topic and she speaks well to it.  However, she believes that the cronies in government will solve the “free market problem” by expanding government.  Obviously not a conservative viewpoint.  Plenty of GOP candidates, like Fiorina, Cruz, Paul, are talking about corporate cronyism and how to fix the quid-pro quo relationships between big corporations and big government. Their solutions aren’t to expand an already bloated and corrupt government, but to reform the government by downsizing it.

The GOP’s conservative messaging is winning in key states against the DNC front runner, Hillary Clinton.  The Champion of Everyday People isn’t filling the stands.  Carly Fiorina summed up this election with the following statement taken from the Fox News “Happy Hour” debate:

2016 is going to be a fight between conservatism, and a Democrat party that is undermining the very character of this nation. We need a nominee who is going to throw every punch, not pull punches, and someone who cannot stumble before he even gets into the ring.

The Democrats may announce a Biden Warren ticket.  The GOP will have to choose their contenders wisely.

In February 2009, after Barack Obama’s inauguration, Time Magazine published this cover:

Are we all socialists now?  Obviously not.  Not yet.

Feds cheer skyrocketing dependency on ‘free’ School Breakfast Program

Feds cheer skyrocketing dependency on ‘free’ School Breakfast Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Federal officials are patting themselves on the back for increasing dependence on the national school breakfast program, citing explosive growth with free meals in particular.

Data released by the Economic Research Service shows the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s School Breakfast Program currently serves about 13.5 million students in about 90,000 schools nationwide, statistics that have more than doubled since 1996.

“Throughout the history of the School Breakfast Program, the number of participating children was considerably smaller than in the National School Lunch Program and is still less than half. Nevertheless, as the breakfast program finding increased – and grants to schools to help start up the program became more available – the number of schools participating in the breakfast program has steadily grown, making it available to more students,” according to a USDA blog.

The ERS data is displayed in a “Charts of Note” series that highlights research on food assistance and other topics, and was undoubtedly chosen because of the striking exponential rise in free and total lunches served to students since the program was founded in 1975.

breakfastchartThe program launched with roughly 2 million total participants, with about 1.5 million going toward free food and the rest toward reduced or full priced meals. By 1995, total participation had eclipsed 6 million with about 5 million in free meals. Last year the program provided food to more than 13.5 million students, including more than 10 million free meals, according to the ERS chart.

“A notable increase in the free and reduced-price share in both (the breakfast and lunch) programs in recent years likely reflects more children qualifying and choosing to participate during the 2007-2009 recession, along with policy changes that have simplified the process of program qualification,” the USDA blog opines.

Those policy changes can have a profound impact on participation. In recent years the USDA has expanded eligibility qualifications to allow for “community eligibility” in places where a high proportion of students qualify for free or reduced priced meals.

In those places, all students receive free meals from the government, as long as schools comply with very strict regulations on calories, fat, sugar, sodium, whole grains, and nutrition restrictions championed by first lady Michelle Obama.

And there’s also the breakfast in the classroom program that’s becoming increasingly popular in many school districts. Teachers in some school districts, however, have resisted that program because it cuts into class time and creates sanitation issues with younger students.

Cynthis Schaefer, superintendent in Keyes, California told the Ceres Courier the district implemented the program for a year by she canceled breakfasts in the classroom after teachers complained and the local teachers union filed a grievance.

“There are a number of issues to be worked out regarding the program, including employment issues that need to be negotiated with the teachers union,” she said.

In other places, like the UCLA Community School, parents have lead a revolt against the breakfast in the classroom program because they believe it’s offensive to parents and wastes valuable instructional time.

“They say if kids don’t eat they won’t learn,” mother Lilian Ramos told the Associated Press. “The truth is that many of our kids come to school already having eaten. They come here to study.”

The federal school food programs are also getting a boost from liberal lawmakers who seem determined to steer their constituents toward dependency.

“State legislation in the form of AB 1240 authored by Asseblymen Rob Bonta, D-Oakland, and Tony Thurmond, D-Oakland, is seeking to take such issues out of local control by mandating that lower income districts be forced to participate in Breakfast in the Classroom,” the Ceres Courier reports.

And there’s little question why. As the Food Research and Action Center points out, “it pays” to serve government meals.

“For the 2015-2016 school year, CACFP sponsors receive $1.66 for each breakfast served, $3.07 per lunch or dinner served, and $0.84 per snack. CACFP sponsors can additionally choose to receive the value of commodities (or cash in lieu of commodities), $0.2375 for July 2015 through June 2016, for each lunch and dinner served, which would total about $3.31 per lunch or dinner served,” a FRAC fact sheet reads.

Franklin High- 11th grade Required Reading – Graphic Rape

Franklin High- 11th grade Required Reading – Graphic Rape

eyes

My friend “Sue” told me that at Parent-Teacher night last week, at Franklin High School in TN, she found out that her 11th grade child would be reading “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” by Zora Neale Hurston. She was shocked. As a concerned parent, she researched this book and discovered it contained four graphic rape scenes.

The 11th grade English teacher had selected this book from a List of Acceptable Books for Williamson County Schools. The teacher said that her child had permission to read a different book, if she so desired, but that the rest of the class would be reading and discussing this one.

Whatever happened to Shakespeare? Jane Austen? George Orwell? Charles Dickens?!! Graphic Rape? Really?

Let’s have Mike Looney read it aloud at the next School Board meeting. If he is uncomfortable doing that, why are our children reading it at school?

Contact Superintendent Mike Looney, mike.looney@wcs.edu, if you think graphic rape is inappropriate reading for high school.

Secretary of State John Kerry Signs United Nations Gun Ban Treaty Against Wishes of U.S. Senate

Secretary of State John Kerry Signs United Nations Gun Ban Treaty Against Wishes of U.S. Senate

If U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has his way the United Nations will be able to say if Americans are allowed to have their Second Amendment rights. He has just signed an anti-gun treaty with the United Nations that the U.S. Senate has already said it is against.

The treaty Kerry signed without authorization from the Senate would create an un-Constitutional registry of all US gun buyers and would lead to the UN controlling American’s gun rights.

Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday signed a controversial U.N. treaty on arms regulation, riling U.S. lawmakers who vow the Senate will not ratify the agreement.

As he signed the document, Kerry called the treaty a “significant step” in addressing illegal gun sales, while claiming it would also protect gun rights.

“This is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors. This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes. This is about keeping Americans safe and keeping America strong,” he said. “This treaty will not diminish anyone’s freedom. In fact, the treaty recognizes the freedom of both individuals and states to obtain, possess, and use arms for legitimate purposes.”

U.S. lawmakers, though, have long claimed the treaty could lead to new gun control measures. They note the U.S. Senate has final say on whether to approve the agreement.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., in a letter to President Obama, urged his administration not to take any action to implement the treaty without the consent of the Senate.

He claimed the treaty raises “fundamental issues” concerning “individual rights protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

The National Rifle Association blasted the plan, claiming it would impose an “invasive registration scheme” by requiring importing countries to give exporting countries information on “end users.”

“The Obama administration is once again demonstrating its contempt for our fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, said in a statement. “These are blatant attacks on the constitutional rights and liberties of every law-abiding American. The NRA will continue to fight this assault on our fundamental freedom.”

Once again Obama’s regime tries to end the Second Amendment by stealth.

FOX'S FRANK LUNTZ GOES 'WOBBLY' ON TRUMP

FOX'S FRANK LUNTZ GOES 'WOBBLY' ON TRUMP

Frank Luntz

Frank Luntz

Fox News’ frequent pollster Frank Luntz, who took hits in the media for a debate-night focus group composed of members who slammed Donald Trump, has now been forced to admit an eye-opening truth from his new survey: voters really do like the billionaire, and his numbers are truly solid.

A brand-new, 29-person focus group, gathered by Luntz and observed by a group of national news reporters, assembled in a political consultant’s office in the D.C. area Monday to explain their passion for the Republican front-runner and the Trump phenomenon. And what they said left the fast-talking Luntz shaking his head in disbelief, according to Time magazine.

“I think America is pissed. Trump’s the first person that came out and voiced exactly what everybody’s been saying all along,” one man said. “When he talks, deep down somewhere you’re going, ‘Holy cr-p, someone is thinking the same way I am.’”

“When Trump talks, it may not be presented in a pristine, PC way, but we’ve been having that cr-p pushed to us for the past 40 years!” said another man. “He’s saying what needs to be said.”

Focus-group members said they liked Trump before the survey began, and when they finished, “the vast majority said they liked [him] more than when they walked in.”

“You guys understand how significant this is? This is real,” Luntz said in a news conference after the survey, Time reported. “I’m having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.”

Do you support Donald Trump’s no-nonsense candidacy? Tell the world with this brand new magnetic bumper sticker: “DONALD TRUMPS THE REST”

Luntz, on Aug. 7, gathered a focus group together in the studios of Fox News to discuss and rate the performance of the top-tier candidates during the first Republican presidential debate, especially Trump. Their conclusions ran from labeling the candidate as “mean” to “bombastic,” as WND reported.

Luntz famously declared post-debate that Trump’s performance guaranteed the “destruction” of his campaign for the party’s nomination. Trump responded on Twitter by calling Luntz a “clown” and “low-class slob.”

Shortly after those fireworks, it was revealed Luntz allegedly told a group of South Carolina fundraisers in a get-together before the debate that Trump was “addicted” to attention and ought to be stopped from climbing the GOP polling ranks, as he could hurt the party.

He was also alleged to have held a discussion with major donors in the lead-up to the Fox News debate to express his opinion the businessman was “turning what we believe into a joke,” Politico reported.

Luntz further likened Trump to Democratic Party presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in that they both were “delivering a big F– you’ to the elites in America,” he said to Politico.

His rant to Politico ran longer, after which Trump, once again, issued a stinging rebuke – that the pollster was angry with him for refusing to do business with his survey company.

Trump also said then: “I caught him cold. And frankly, if I was [Fox News CEO] Roger Ailes, I’d fire that guy so fast for what he did that his head would spin.”

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Luntz’s firm paid each of the participants in the new focus group $100 for the two-and-a-half hour session. The group was not a representative sample of the Republican party, or early state voters, as all of them had been selected because they support Trump and live in Washington or its suburbs in Maryland and Virginia.

“I used to sleep on my front porch with the door wide open, and now everyone has deadbolts,” one man said. “I believe the best days of the country are behind us.”

“I’m frustrated beyond belief. I feel like I’ve been lied to,” a woman said. “Nothing’s getting better.”

What do YOU think? Is the Trump juggernaut unstoppable? Sound off in today’s WND poll

“He’s not afraid,” said a woman who voted twice for Obama. “He keeps prodding on even if people give him negative press. He doesn’t change and apologize.”

Much of Trump’s support in the room seemed to stem from a weakness in the Republican Party, reported Time. Several attendees cited Trump’s hardline stance on national security and immigration policy and his promise to take care of military veterans as their reasons for supporting his candidacy.

The group of 29 went around the room, each supplying a single adjective for the Republican-led Congress that let them down after the 2014 elections.

The legislative body “does nothing.” It’s “too old.” “Useless.” “Lame.” “Inept.” “Wrong party.” “Cocktail party.” “Gridlock.” “Costly.” “Sold out.” “Sucks.” “Douchebags.”

Then, the group did the same for Trump. This time: “Tough.” “Businessman.” “Great.” “Successful.” “Not afraid.” “Leader.” “Has guts.” “Charismatic.” “A true American.” “Kicks a– and takes names.”

The focus group included 23 white people, three African-Americans and three Hispanics.

“I want to put the Republican leadership behind this mirror and let them see,” Luntz said at the conclusion of the survey. “They need to wake up. They don’t realize how the grassroots have abandoned them. Donald Trump is punishment to a Republican elite that wasn’t listening to their grassroots.”

School apologizes to student after kicking her out over Confederate flags

School apologizes to student after kicking her out over Confederate flags

NORTH FORT MEYERS, Fla. – A Florida student who came to school on the first day with two Confederate flags waiving from the back of her pickup was issued an apology after school officials sent her home.

North Fort Meyers High School student Sky Hunter was greeted by an assistant principal and a security guard Monday when she pulled into school’s parking lot this week on her first day back to class. The junior had three flags flying from the back of her pickup – one American flag and two Confederate battle flags – and the school officials took issue with the latter, WPTV reports.

“He came out and told me that I had to leave and I asked him why and he said the American flag was fine, but I couldn’t fly my two Confederate flags,” Hunter said.

The teen pressed the assistant principal for a better explanation, but didn’t really receive one.

skyhunter“He told me parking my truck there, it was my vehicle, my responsibility to get rid of the flags and I told him it’s my vehicle, it’s my responsibility, I should be able to fly what I like on them,” Hunter told the news site.

Hunter eventually complied and returned home to have her father drop her back off to school. WPTV tried repeatedly to contact school officials about the episode throughout the day, but never hear back.

School officials eventually called the family to apologize and said Hunter is free to park at school with all three flags.

“District policy indicates that if there is an offending flag, shirt or something similar – and it causes a disruption – then the principal can ask to have it taken down, or send the student home,” according to NBC 2.

A Lee County School District spokesperson, however, told the news site there was no indication Hunter’s flags caused a problem. The ordeal likely stemmed from administrators who are overly sensitive to the Confederate flag debate that’s raged in school districts and municipalities this summer after a racially motivated church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina that left nine blacks dead, the spokesperson told NBC 2.

Hunter’s father, John Hunter, said the decision to send his daughter home over the flags didn’t make sense, regardless of the reasoning.

“It’s a heritage, and I don’t understand why she can’t fly them, and I don’t understand what’s going on,” he told WPTV.

Hunter returned to school Tuesday with her flags flying, though one of them was bent while in the school parking lot and she reported it to school officials, NBC 2 reports.

The teen said officials told her they think the flags could become a problem, but continued to allow her to display them at school, for now.

Hunter said the incident wouldn’t have been a big deal, if it wasn’t for how officials confronted her with their concerns.

“He was like, ‘you gotta go,'” Hunter told NBC 2. “I asked, ‘why can’t I be here?’ He said the flags can’t be here.”

“I wasn’t expected to be told to leave right on the spot especially in the rude manner I was asked,” she told WPTV.

Hunter also said she believes all American have the basic right to display the Confederate flag, regardless of whether it offends people or not.

“I think everyone should be allowed to fly them, not only because of the history but because we have the freedom to do so,” she said.
