Republicans in Congress promised to stop Obamacare. It can be done. But it won't be done unless the grassroots demands it.

LET'S DO AS HE ASKS
The Continuing Resolution to be voted on in September is our last chance to stop this train wreck before it begins to be implemented.
We have the month of August to GET IT DONE, and we have a plan- The Summer Slam.
STEP ONE: TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Our members of Congress will be home all month and need to be meeting publicly with their constituents. At town halls, we will remind them how much Obamacare is hated and how dangerous it is for our country, and that they promised to protect us from it. They must return to DC committed to stopping it. If they will not defund it, they are for it!
ACTION
Call the local offices of Senator Burr, Senator Hagan, and your US House Representative in the next few days to find out when their August recess town halls are scheduled. If there is not a town hall scheduled, help them get one on the calendar for August. Let us know when the event is scheduled, so we can share it. Here is link to contact info. for your Reps.
At the town hall meetings, our members need to publicly commit to NOT funding Obamacare. Get it in writing or on video.
STEP TWO: MEETINGS AT THE ELECTED OFFICIAL'S OFFICE
ACTION
When you call the local offices to ask about town halls, set up an appointment for you or your small group to discuss defunding Obamacare with the member of Congress. If they are not able to meet with you, arrange to meet with a staffer. You can get talking points and facts here via Heritage Action for America.
STEP THREE: PHONE CALLS, EMAILS, TWITTER and FACEBOOK
Members of Congress must hear the steady drumbeat of the grassroots over the next month. Ask everyone you know to call their local offices and insist that the member publicly commit to defunding Obamacare in September. When using Twitter, please use hash tags #DefundObamacare # haction # SummerSlam
STEP FOUR: LETTERS TO EDITORS
We are the ones who must educate the public about why Obamacare must be stopped through defunding.
STEP FIVE: SHARE THIS PLAN WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW, IN NORTH CAROLINA AND BEYOND, AND ASK THEM TO JOIN US.
