FEMINISM, SUBMISSION AND THE STANDOFF AT THE 4-WAY

Let's say you come to a 4-way as you travel.   There are two cars (or more) at the same 4-way at the same time.  Who goes first?  The man? The woman?  The older? The younger? The more important person? The more intelligent? The stronger?  WHO GOES FIRST and WHO YIELDS?

WHO WINS AT A 4-WAY STOP if everyone demands his or her own way to prove some proverbial point?  Who is the clear winner or the stronger...or the smarter, if all 4 vehicles collide in the middle?  This is the clear and present danger of a society which promotes a policy NEVER to submit to another person, especially if it is a wife to a husband, or God forbid, a woman to a man.  Can we see the insanity in this, or have I missed something?

Were it not for some "ORDER" or guidelines on the road, there would be utter chaos, disaster and ultimate fatalities.  Most disasters on the road are a direct result of SOMEONE not following the guidelines of simple etiquette.  Yet we live in a society that wants to either subject us all to "everyone doing whatever they please, submitting to no one" OR an "everyone must leave your car at home and not drive at all" mentality.  Of course, this is ludicrous.  But this is the way we are being told, through the guise of FREEDOM and feminism, that we are to operate in our modern civilization.

The word "submission" has become a curse word to society, and this knee jerk reaction to what has been promoted as slavery or some Machiavellian tyranny has resulted in a societal schizophrenia and a societal DIS-ORDER.  Yet submission is exercised EVERY time a person enters a 4-way stop and chooses to YIELD to the other motorist, in a CIVIL, COORDINATED  fashion.  This is what civilized people do.

But the progressive thought is:  "Never let anyone tell you what to do or submit yourself in any way, shape or form to authority... especially if it is a wife to a husband.

But it is foolish to believe that when one vehicle submits to another that this is SLAVERY or SUBJUGATION. It is the very insecure woman, or individual for that matter, who is so paranoid of being dominated, that a whole movement to rearrange the laws of order would be not only created, but forced upon a whole society of women who know how to be who they are without fear of being dominated.

Abuse of power is not a "man against woman" issue.  Abuse of power is a CIVILIZATION ISSUE, and can be addressed without STEREOTYPING any group or gender.  Abuse of power is a "character" issue and CHARACTER is not on the agenda of organizations that try to pigeonhole or stereotype others who see life and order and society from a perspective of mutual respect.

The word "submit,"  the Greek word HYPOTASSO means:

TO ARRANGE UNDER (a.k.a. yield)

EVERY organizational chart refers to a CEO, President or some other "buck stops here" person who is the "HEAD" of the organization or venture.  Why is that?  Because in civilized society there has to be a position of HEADSHIP that brings the BODY into COORDINATION and cooperation for a common purpose.

"A BODY WITHOUT A HEAD IS CHAOTIC.
A HEAD WITHOUT A BODY IS UNPRODUCTIVE."
(...and a 4-Way stop with no order lends itself to collision or stalemate)

These two elements CAN exist individually, but the success of either is greatly diminished.

The particular verses in question are usually:

Ephesians 5:22 "Wives 1135, submit yourselves 5293 unto your own 2398 husbands 435, as 5613 unto the Lord 2962.

Colossians 3:18 "Wives 1135, submit yourselves 5293 unto your own 2398 husbands 435, as 5613 it is fit 433 in 1722 the Lord 2962.

These verses DO NOT say, "Women" submit yourself to "Men," yet that is what the whole Feminist Movement would have us believe.

The Greek word, hypotassō (to arrange under), occurs 49 times in 32 difference verses in the KJV of the Bible.  Within these 32 verses of scripture, reference is made to various aspects including,

  • the mind
  • the righteous
  • the servant
  • animals (creatures)
  • government
  • to one another
  • and in 2 islolated verses, to wives.
Would we be foolish to take two verses regarding the relationship of husband and wives to draw a conclusion regarding the sanity of mutual agreement at a 4-way stop called "stalemate?

In her new book, "The Flipside of Feminism," Suzanne Venker establishes the importance of the wife arranging to yield at the 4-way in cooperation with the agreed upon leadership of the household as the body of that head.
