Pastors File Federal Lawsuit Against Illinois

Pastors File Federal Lawsuit Against Illinois

Pastors File Federal Lawsuit Against Illinois

As a result of the passage of the deceptively named “Youth Mental Health Protection Act,” the law firm of Mauck & Baker is today filing a federal lawsuit against the state of Illinois on behalf of a group of Illinois pastors alleging that the Act “unconstitutionally restricts a young person’s right to make personal choices regarding his or her own choice of sexual identity, as well as the pastors’ right to free speech and the exercise of religion.” The suit seeks “a Declaratory Judgment from the court stating that the law should not apply to pastoral counseling.”

Read the Mauck & Baker federal complaint HERE.

The Act, commonly called the “conversion therapy ban” but more properly called the anti-autonomy Act or the anti-identity-choice Act, prohibits professional mental health providers from helping minors who desire counseling for unwanted, unchosen homoerotic attraction. So, while leftists believe minors should be able to access medical help in a futile quest to reject their unwanted sex, these same leftists pass laws prohibiting minors from accessing help in constructing an identity that doesn’t include the affirmation of unwanted homoerotic feelings.

The anti-autonomy Act includes a host of other problems including the following:

  • The Act prohibits “any practices or treatments that seek to….reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings towards individuals of the same sex.” The hubris of homosexual activists and liberal lawmakers knows no bounds. They passed a law to prohibit teenagers from pursuing ways of reducing unwanted homoerotic feelings.
  • The Act makes no distinction between coercive aversion therapies and talk therapies.
  • It makes no distinction between involuntary counseling and voluntary counseling desired by minors.
  • It fails to address whether, for example, a 14-year-old who experiences homoerotic feelings and admits to having been sexually molested would be allowed to explore the connection between sexual molestation and homoerotic feelings with a mental health provider?
  • The Act states that “No person or entity may, in the conduct of any trade or commerce use or employ any…conversion therapy services in a manner that represents homosexuality as a…” In other words, it is now illegal to present homosexuality truthfully.
  • The Act presumes without evidence that all counseling efforts to help minors who reject their unwanted, unchosen “sexual orientation” are damaging. It is indefensible to ban counseling efforts for which there is no conclusive evidence of harm.
  • The Act applies to licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors and clinical professional counselors, as well as anyone assisting any licensed professionals.

It is encouraging to see pastors take a public stand for unpopular biblical truths and against oppressive, politically driven laws that violate constitutionally protected liberty. We see such courage among church leaders too seldom.

The Real Power and Purpose Behind the ‘Black Lives Matter’ Movement

WARNING: The Real Power and Purpose Behind the ‘Black Lives Matter’ Movement

protestsWhatever legitimacy the “Black Lives Matters” (BLM) movement may have is lost in its funding from one George Soros. Mr. Soros is the major financial source responsible for funding the leftist movement in America. (See link for list of left wing organization funded by George Soros. (http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=977). These left-wing groups supported by Soros have one thing in common: to transform America.

Groups like ACORN and Occupy Wall Street are a disruptive influence in our culture and seek to divide and transform our society into a Marxist design. Linked to this disruptive scheme is Black Lives Matters through Soros support and funds.

George Soros’s funding of the BLM movement is part of an integration into a tapestry of organizations used to disrupt and weaken our society to engineer a socialistic transformation. Since the 1920s and 1930s, as presented in Harold Cruse’s book “The Crisis of The Negro Intellectual,” there has been a focused strategy by the Communist party to use the black community and the poor as a battering ram against “the system” for the purpose of fundamentally changing America into a leftist utopia. Their successful efforts in infiltrating the civil rights movement and other legitimate struggles for justice has been well-documented by many historians and scholars recording the history of the civil rights movement in America.

There is an example of how this co-optation has played out in recent history that demonstrates how the left uses black and poor communities to advance their agenda. George Wiley, who was an agent of Richard Cloward and Frances Piven, Marxist professors at Columbia University, formed a group called the “National Welfare Rights Movement” in 1969. This leftist organization exploited the poor with a plan to implement a socialistic strategy to overwhelm New York City’s welfare system. Cloward and Piven’s strategy to orchestrate crisis is evident in the tactics now employed by the BLM movement. Organizers and leaders of BLM are using the same playbook and strategy of George Wiley to advance their Marxist agenda in the public square today. This disruptive strategy is precisely the predominant influence manifesting itself in the “Black Lives Matter” movement across America. BLM is being aggressively manipulated by the left with funds from Soros in order to force a radical change in how local policing is done in America. Through overreach and the expansion of centralized systems controlled by Washington, D.C., the left is attempting to control local policing. This evil manipulation of black and poor communities is a common strategy that has been used successfully in the 70s, 80s, and 90s to advance their ultimate goal of “fundamentally transforming” America.

David Horowitz in his book “Breaking The System” write that “the left’s strategy called for a cadres of aggressive organizers to create street actions by the poor that would create a climate of militancy.” This “cadres of aggressive” community organizers are studied in two ideas, one developed by Saul Alinsky in his book “Rules for Radicals,” and other by Richard Cloward and Frances Piven in their now famous philosophy called “Crisis Strategy.” Horowitz suggested that climate of militancy will cause fear of racial violence which will pressure politicians to cave in to the demands set forth by the leftist who are leading these movements. These community organizers who are prominently positioned in the Black Lives Matters movement are committed disciples of Cloward and Piven and Saul Alinsky.

What we are witnessing in the BLM movement in simple terms are the deliberate efforts by the liberal progressives in America under the influence of Marxism to infiltrate and manipulate the black community. What’s behind their dastardly plan is to replace capitalism with socialism and to ultimately remove the influence of our Judeo-Christian heritage from the public square. These “aggressive community organizers” are fanning the flames of discontentment. By co-opting a legitimate issue related to stranded relationship between the community, local police, and police intimidation, they are using discontentment to advance their agenda. They are stirring passions into “a climate of militancy” and at the same time alienating race relationship in America.

The old adage “divide and conquer” is playing out right before our collective eyes. The plan is a simple one — weaken America and then change her. The leadership of BLM is fully aware of this scheme; however, the average participants (the foot soldier) in the movement are oblivious to this highly sophisticated, exploitive, and manipulative strategy.

The concern for the community is not the motivating reason why these Marxists are involved in this movement. The leaders of the BLM movement are careful to maintain a narrative that is devoid of the major issues adversely impacting black communities all over this country. High unemployment, gang crime, black-on-black homicide, the failure of government schools to prepare our children for a 21st century economy, and the number one killer of black people: abortion on demand. It is disheartening to see how leadership in the BLM movement have bought into this Marxist deception and refuse to address these issues, especially abortion and its devastating impact on our babies and women. Black Lives Matter’s refusal to confront the biggest provider of abortion in the black community that perpetrates the mass murder of our babies, — Planned Parenthood and its partners in death the abortion industry — is very telling about their concern for the community. These merchants of death have destroyed over 35 million black babies since 1973 and have psychologically scared thousands upon thousands of black women for profit. More black babies are aborted than any other ethnic group in America. And what’s not reported to the black community is that when we hear of Planned Parenthood selling baby parts for profit, most of those babies are our black babies! Where is the outrage from these so called leaders?

The socialists and Marxists leading BLM are unconcerned with these very real issues in our community. The refusal to address what has been historically and empirically documented as a eugenic plot to demographically demolish black and minority communities (abortion) across this globe is simply unacceptable. In addition, I find it hard to be believe the systematic dismantling of the black family through government overreach and nanny state intrusion into our families escape their notice.

That Marxist manipulators who lead the BLM movement seem more than happy to take funding from the likes of George Soros and betray the best interest of our community in order to achieve their desire to divide and conquer our beloved nation is nothing short of evil.

It will be the black church as the prophetic voice of God to stand up and stop this Marxist takeover of our community’s fight for a more perfect union. Pastors and spiritual leaders must lead the way in this fight for justice as well as the fight against Marxism. There must be a collective community push-back against this godless movement facilitated by Marxists seeking a dark and dastardly transformation of America.

The deception is an old design sourced in Marxist/Lenin doctrine. Lie, divide, and conquer. Lenin was so bold as to call the poor and others of the proletariat class “useful idiots” necessary to accomplish their Marxist utopia. The church cannot remain silent as the godless force of progressive liberalism transforms our communities, and our nation.

As a pastor and spiritual leader working for 30 years in the inner city of Dallas, Texas, and as one who fought against abortion and the anti-life community since 1980, I will end my observations with several warnings to those caught up in the rhetoric of the left.

Caught up in their deceptions used to inflame passions on legitimate concerns, especially related to policing in our community:

First, I warn you to ask questions of those who lead the BLM movement. Why are they dismissive of black-on-black crime? Why aren’t they addressing the number one killer of blacks in America: abortion?

And second, is a warning from scripture: Colossians 2:8 “see to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.”

Finally, the scriptures gives a description for us of those who deceive: Romans 3:13b-18 “With their mouth they keep deceiving, the poison of asps is under their lips; 14 whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood, 16 destruction and misery are in their paths, 17 and the path of peace have they not known. 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Avoid men and women who fit this description.

Electoral Chaos: Here’s What Happens if No Candidate Earns the 270 Electoral Votes Needed to Become President

Electoral Chaos: Here’s What Happens if No Candidate Earns the 270 Electoral Votes Needed to Become President

November 8, 2016 is election day in America. While all the votes should be tabulated before midnight on that Tuesday, there is a possibility — albeit a remote one — we won’t know who the next president is until sometime in January 2017.

The lack of a clear winner only happens if no candidate wins enough states to collect 270 or more electoral votes.

According to the 12th Amendment of the Constitution, if no candidate earns at least 270 electoral votes, the House of Representatives will assemble and select a president-elect from the top three electoral vote getters.

How the House of Representatives makes this choice is also a little different. Instead of 435 individual votes typically cast by the House when voting on legislation, each state’s delegation selects a candidate. Meaning, the House will have just 50 votes to cast. Only 26 votes would decide the president-elect in the case of an electoral tie or a situation where no candidate earns the required 270 votes.

The Senate has the responsibility to vote for a vice president-elect, with each senator choosing a vice president from the top two vote getters. A simple majority of senators voting for one candidate will decide who becomes vice president-elect.

Adding more complications to this potentially chaotic situation, House and Senate votes would not happen until after the new Congress meets in January. This means if control of the House or Senate shifts in the November election, myriad possibilities exist.

For example, if the House stayed in Republican control and the Senate shifted to the Democrats, we could see a Republican president-elect and a Democratic vice president-elect.

Additionally, should the House fail to agree on a president-elect, balloting will continue until one person earns the needed 26 votes.

Plus, if the House voting extends beyond the scheduled Inauguration Day of January 20, the Senate-selected vice president-elect would be sworn in as acting president until the House comes to a decision.

Watch Dr. David Redlawsk, chairman of the political science department at the University of Delaware explain the process that’s triggered when no clear electoral winner emerges — something Redlawsk calls “complex and confusing and would no doubt put us in a crisis if it actually happened.”

rump releases seven-point health care reform plan… and it’s excellent!

Trump releases seven-point health care reform plan… and it’s excellent!

A lot more than just getting rid of the lines.

I mentioned on Facebook yesterday that I am not that big a fan of election years, and here’s a case in point. At this moment, #NeverTrump is all the rage among conservatives, and there’s a tremendous push to get Republican primary voters united behind one remaining Trump rival to take the nomination away from him.

My job is to write what I think about whatever happens on a given day. It’s not to only write what I think will result in a certain outcome. So when I tell you that Donald Trump’s new seven-point health care reform plan is excellent, some of you are going to say: Don’t say that now! It’ll help Trump! #NeverTrump!!!

But my job is not to care one way or the other about who it will help or hurt. It’s to say what I honestly think. And what I honestly think is that the plan Trump released yesterday is as good as I’ve heard from anyone in the race – if not necessarily better – for how to replace ObamaCare. I’m going to excerpt the seven points entirely from Trump’s web site:

  1. Completely repeal Obamacare. Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.
  2. Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines. As long as the plan purchased complies with state requirements, any vendor ought to be able to offer insurance in any state. By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.
  3. Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system. Businesses are allowed to take these deductions so why wouldn’t Congress allow individuals the same exemptions? As we allow the free market to provide insurance coverage opportunities to companies and individuals, we must also make sure that no one slips through the cracks simply because they cannot afford insurance. We must review basic options for Medicaid and work with states to ensure that those who want healthcare coverage can have it.
  4. Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate. These accounts would become part of the estate of the individual and could be passed on to heirs without fear of any death penalty. These plans should be particularly attractive to young people who are healthy and can afford high-deductible insurance plans. These funds can be used by any member of a family without penalty. The flexibility and security provided by HSAs will be of great benefit to all who participate.
  5. Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals. Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.
  6. Block-grant Medicaid to the states. Nearly every state already offers benefits beyond what is required in the current Medicaid structure. The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead. States will have the incentives to seek out and eliminate fraud, waste and abuse to preserve our precious resources.
  7. Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products. Congress will need the courage to step away from the special interests and do what is right for America. Though the pharmaceutical industry is in the private sector, drug companies provide a public service. Allowing consumers access to imported, safe and dependable drugs from overseas will bring more options to consumers.

He then goes on to talk about immigration, and notes that if we merely enforced the immigration laws already on the books, we’d save billions that we now spend providing health care to illegals through Medicaid. You can try to paint this as racist, but as a fact it is impossible to dispute.

The best thing about the plan – aside from the obvious feature of getting rid of ObamaCare – is the emphasis on expanded Health Savings Accounts, along with the shift in tax deductibility to individuals who spend money on health insurance as opposed to employers. The use of the tax code to tie health insurance to employment was one of the worst policy decisions of the 20th Century, tied to wage controls during World War II, and it’s well past time to correct it.

Another excellent feature is price transparency. Today, if you walk into a doctor’s office and try to self-pay, they look at you like you’re from another planet, and half the time they don’t even know what things cost because everyone just figures insurance covers it, so who cares? If people don’t understand how that drives up the cost of health care, they really need a crash course in basic economics.

I would like to see health insurance essentially cease to exist aside from coverage for catastrophic costs. Insurance is supposed to be protection against risk, not a big welfare program that pays everyone’s bills for everything, which is what health insurance has turned into. I really don’t know a way to make that happen via government policy, but making it easier for people to build health savings accounts is a very good place to start.

Now, you may criticize the timing of this announcement. With so many conservatives refusing to support Trump on the belief that he is not a real conservative, what better way to win them over than to suddenly announce the manner in which you’d replace ObamaCare – and have it be very much to conservatives’ liking?

Maybe that was a driving force. But if it is, I would say this: If someone is going to try to win my vote, I’d rather have him do it with a really excellent policy proposal than with a vicious attack ad or a manipulative mailer, or a stupid robocall.

Trump’s faults are the same today as they were yesterday, but the fact of the matter is that this is an excellent proposal. If the GOP can hang onto the House and Senate, this is a set of reforms that Speaker Ryan and Majority Leader McConnell would be happy to put on President Trump’s desk to sign.

And if we find ourselves with a choice between Trump and Hillary, I’ll ask you as I did the other day: Do you really want to elect Hillary, who would veto any repeal of ObamaCare, instead of the man who proposed the reforms described above?

Because that’s insane.

#NeverHillary

Irish High Court judge rules: ‘Unborn’ is ‘clearly a child’ with ‘significant’ rights

Irish High Court judge rules: ‘Unborn’ is ‘clearly a child’ with ‘significant’ rights

Steve Weatherbe

DUBLIN, Ireland, August 4, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — An Irish High Court judge has ruled that unborn children have all the rights of “born” children under the Irish constitution and law.

Justice Richard Humphries made the ruling during a tangled deportation case made more complex by the unborn child fathered by the Nigerian man whom the Irish government is seeking to expel.

“The ruling is vitally important at a time when the status of unborn babies in Ireland is once again under grave threat from pro-abortion organizations and the media,” Patrick Buckley of the Dublin office of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children said.

The state secured a deportation order in 2008, but the Nigerian, who was claiming refugee status, delayed implementation with various appeals and then sought a judicial review of the original order on the basis of having fathered the child, unborn at the time of his application, by an Irish woman with whom he is still partnered.

The Nigerian wanted the child to be factored into the request for a judicial hearing because the baby’s rights would strengthen his case to stay in the country. But the government resisted on the grounds the child was unborn and had only one right — to be born.

Humphries ruled differently, stating that the controversial Eighth Amendment to the constitution protecting “the unborn” meant that an “unborn child” was a child whose full rights under the constitution once born “must be taken seriously.” These rights under both statutory and common law were “significant” and went “well beyond the right to life alone.”

The Irish government, the judge found, had a duty to consider the best interests of the Nigerian’s unborn child while deliberating on his deportation. The judge, therefore, ordered the government to give the case a judicial review.

The ruling comes at a crucial time. A foreign-funded drive to repeal the Eighth Amendment has led the government to create a Citizens Conference on loosening Ireland’s abortion restrictions, which, under the Protection of Life during Pregnancy Act 2013, is permitted only to save the life of the mother but includes the risk of suicide as a threat to her life.

“In the light of the High Court’s ruling, we call upon the Government to move to repeal the pro-abortion Protection of Life during Pregnancy Act 2013,” SPUC’s Buckley said, “and to oppose any moves to repeal the Eighth Amendment. The killing of unborn children is both unconstitutional and unethical and therefore must not be allowed in Ireland.”

Twin Falls Crisis Imposed by Clinton-Era Pro-Refugee Advocates

Twin Falls Crisis Imposed by Clinton-Era Pro-Refugee Advocates

twin Falls

Thousands of Muslim refugees are flowing into the small Idaho town of Twin Falls because of closed-door decisions made by a group of self-serving advocates in and around Washington D.C.

One key player is Lavinia Limón, CEO of the U.S. Committee on Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). That’s a government-backed group that is paid to place migrants in Americans’ towns. Her group is also called a “voluntary agency,” or ‘VOLAG.’ The group’s local affiliate, the College of Southern Idaho, has already placed 1,000 Iraqi refugees in Twin Falls.

SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER

Limón is married to a man that she met in Saudi Arabia while bringing refugees to the United States, and since 1975, she’s been using the government-supplied flood of unskilled and culturally distant migrants to convert Americans’ neighborhoods into “new American communities.” Most of the targeted neighborhoods are in politically weak towns far from wealthy districts, who are protected from migrant inflows by influential politicians.

Video: Lynch: US has "robust" screening process for refugees

Limón is part of a circle of Democratic progressive politicians who believe Americans’ government should not favor Americans over foreigners, and that all humans — Americans and Afghans, Christians and Muslims, skilled and unskilled, healthy and diseased — should be welcomed in the United States. She is allied with various business groups — plus their GOP supporters — who use each annual inflow of migrant workers as replacements for prior years’ migrants, many of whom flee to better and safer jobs.

She was named director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) by President Bill Clinton in 1993, where she worked for Donna Shalala, who was Secretary of Health and Human Services. These days, Shalala is the current president of the Clinton Foundation.

Before she left ORR in 2001, Limón funded a 48-page report that published in 2004 by the Migration Policy Institute. That report, titled, “Building the New American Community: Newcomer Integration and Inclusion Experiences in Non-Traditional Gateway Cities.” is the how-to plan used by migration activists to transform small cities into refugee homes by partnering with local institutions, such as the Chamber of Commerce and community/technical colleges.

Limón took over the U.S. Committee on Refugees and Immigrants in 2001, and she used the how-to plan to push migrants into  Twin Falls. Other cities who got migrants include Lowell, Massachusetts, Nashville, Tennessee and Portland, Oregon, all of which were “model programs” touted in the 2004 Migration Policy Institute study.

USCRI has recently expanded its push for a “new American community” program to other small cities, such as Rutland, Vermont, where it secretly cooperated with the mayor to resettle 100 Syrian refugees against strong local opposition. Those 100 Syrians are just part of the 10,000 Syrians that President Barack Obama is rushing into the country before his departure in January.

Those plans have worked well for Democrats and their business allies. The politicians have gained millions of new welfare-dependent voters, and the business groups have gotten a flood of replaceable low-wage workers that don’t complain about unsafe working conditions and low wages.

But those plans have dumped a variety of problems on Americans’ cities — crime, low-wage jobs, higher education costs and social turmoil, for example.

One result of the “new American community” that Limón and her local allies created in Twin Falls is the tension and conflict between foreign migrants and Americans, which is exemplified by the five-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted in an incident involving three refugee boys, age seven to fourteen, this past June.

On Thursday, Breitbart‘s Lee Stranahan spoke exclusively with the father of the victim, who said that he had viewed the video taken by one of the three refugee boys of the assault in which ” new allegations against a ten-year-old boy who was involved in the June 2 attack were revealed in court on Thursday afternoon, alleging the boy both anally and orally penetrated the five-year-old, in addition to urinating on her, as revealed by the father in the clip below.”:

I watched about thirty seconds of it. There was a lot more on there that I did not see. But what I did see is… is horrific for a father to watch for their… for that thing. And so after I watched all that, I came outside, trying to keep my composure because that whole family was still outside my apartment, you know, they were trying to stop us from calling the police, pleading with us.

The shift in American immigration policy from full “assimilation” down to mere side-by-side “integration” was imposed with little notice by a phalanx of social engineers — including Limón — has had extremely damaging effects on the fabric of Americans’ civic culture. This was described by John J. Miller in his 1998 book, The Unmaking of Americans: How Multiculturalism Has Undermined the Assimilation Ethic. A review by the Ashbrook Institute said:

In his book, Miller contends that the United States is currently in the midst of an assimilation crisis—one brought about not by immigrants, but by American institutions that have surrendered in the struggle to help newcomers assimilate.

Tensions in Twin Falls, as in many targeted refugee resettlement communities around the country, are not limited to classroom problems, reduced wages or common criminality.

As Breitbart News reported previously, the Idaho Department of Welfare and Health has confirmed that seven recently resettled refugees have been diagnosed with active tuberculosis in the state between 2011 and 2015.

At least one resettled refugee in Idaho posed a national security risk. Fazliddin Kurbanov, a resettled refugee from Uzebek, was convicted of three terrorism-related charges in 2015. Charges included providing material support to a U.S. designated terrorist organization and planning an attack in the U.S.

Refugee resettlement in Idaho increased significantly during Limon’s tenure at ORR. It rose from 252 of the 119,000 resettled in the entire country in FY 1993 to 676 of the 84,000 resettled in the entire country in FY 2001. Jan Reeves, currently the head of the Idaho Office of Refugees, helped those placements while employed by the state of Idaho. In 2013, Reeves was “Champion of Change” honored by President Obama and featured on the White House website.

Reeve’s Idaho Office for Refugees is an affiliate of a large VOLAG now known as Janus, which in August 2015 reported having 76 full-time and 58 part-time employees.

Around 2002, Idaho withdrew from the federal refugee resettlement program, and Janus was hired by the federal government to operate the program. The federal government bypassed the state’s opposition by using  the statutorily questionable Wilson Fish alternative program, which was created by a regulation pushed through the Department of Health and Human Services by Limon while she headed ORR during the 1990s.

According to its website, the College of Southern Idaho Refugee Program [CSRIP] “is the only provider of refugee specific services for South-Central Idaho.”

Since it’s inception [in 1982], the CSIRP [College of Southern Idaho Refugee Program] has resettled more than 2500 refugees from a variety of different continents; providing local businesses with a steady source of entry level workers. The Program has also brought more than $3 million of federal money and benefits back to the Magic Valley that have been used to purchase goods and services from local merchants. It has also been a source of students pursuing career and professional upgrades through the College of Southern Idaho. Many former refugees now hold prominent positions in the Twin Falls community.

The CSIRP affiliated with USCRI in 1993.

Other VOLAGs operating in Idaho include the International Rescue Committee, World Relief, and Janus.

The largest concentration of refugee nationalities for refugees resettled in Idaho since 2000 have come from “Iraq, Congo, Burma, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and Somalia,” according to the Idaho Office for Refugees.

Thirty-five Syrian refugees were resettled in Boise in FY 2015.

Though the CSIRP said in April it expects to be resettling Syrian refugees in Twin Falls, no date has yet been set for their arrival.

Twin Falls and the immediate area is a center of food processing center, and many local employers in that industry hire refugees as workers.

As Breitbart News reported previously:

Chobani Yogurt, the company that owns and operates the largest yogurt manufacturing facility in the world in Twin Falls, thanks in part to $54 million in federal and state grants, relies heavily on refugees brought in by USCRI and the College of Southern Idaho as employees. In 2015, CNN reported that 600 of the company’s 2,000 employees are refugees.

In September 2015, USCRI’s Limón appeared with Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya at a panel hosted by the Clinton Global Initiative, whose purpose was, in part, to encourage American companies to hire refugees instead of Americans.

Limón told the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1999 she began her career working with Vietnamese refugees in 1975:

After graduating from the University of California in Berkeley with a degree in sociology in 1972, Limon had a couple of jobs she did not like. One was processing mortgage loans. She quit and went to live with her parents at the motel they owned in San Clemente.

It was 1975.

“We watched Vietnam fall on television, and then we started getting all these people coming in and staying at the motel who were working out at Camp Pendleton with the Vietnamese refugees,” Limon said in an interview in her spartan office at task force headquarters.

The new guests, employees of voluntary agencies, at first had little effect on Limon, who was spending her time “sleeping late and hanging around the beach.”

“But one day one of them asked my mother if she knew anybody who needed a job, because they were going to need to hire a lot of folks. . . I was asleep, and my mother opened up the door and said, `Do you want a job out at Camp Pendleton with the refugees?’ And I said no, because it never occurred to me. She said, `Well, you have an appointment at noon, so you need to get up.’ ”

Limon said that during the job interview, she demonstrated a real lack of enthusiasm.  “I was actually trying not to get hired at all,” she said.

Still, she got the job and they took her to the camp.

“As far as you could see were these tents with these Vietnamese refugees, and I was stunned, because here was this whole other world on the other side of the hills from sleepy San Clemente.

“I started that afternoon, and I’ve been hooked ever since.”

In 1986, Limón was named director of the International Institute of Los Angeles, a job she held until 1993. Her duties there apparently allowed her to do free-lance work for the State Department as well.

“Between 1979 and 1992, at the request of the U.S. Department of State, Limon established, designed and implemented programs for the processing of Iraqi refugees in Saudi Arabia, Cubans who requested asylum at the Peruvian Embassy in Costa Rica and Indochinese who fled from their homelands to Singapore and Thailand,” the press release announcing her appointment as head of ORR stated in 1993.

Limón met her husband during that State Department sponsored trip to Saudi Arabia  in 1992 when she implemented that program for processing Iraqi refugees, the Inquirer reported in that 1999 article:

Other assignments took her to Costa Rica, where she worked with Cuban refugees in 1980, and to Saudi Arabia in the early ’90s. There, she worked with Iraqi refugees and met her husband, Mohammed Hanon, an interpreter.

“I wore black from head-to-toe,” she said.

“Hopefully you can do something so that they can build a new life,” Limón told the Inquirer of her work in refugee resettlement. “For me, this is the best of what America can do,” she added.

Limón has spent a career promoting her vision of “the best of what America can do” for refugees. Many residents of the local communities where these refugees have been “integrated” rather than assimilated believe Limón’s efforts–and those of her ideological allies–are destroying their communities and their country.

On Thursday, Brigitte Gabriel, founder and head of Act for America, spoke in Twin Falls about the problems posed by refugee resettlement.

“All of us know something is not right with our country,” Gabriel told an audience of two hundred, as reported by MagicValley.com:

Gabriel talked a bit about what happened here, mostly in the context of refugee resettlement in general, which she sees as a way for churches and contractors involved to make money and as part of a larger Islamic plot to infiltrate and take over the West. She also spoke of sexual assaults elsewhere in the United States and in Europe that she blames on Muslim refugees. She urged people to vote out the Twin Falls City Council, which she accused of trying to cover up what happened. City officials and law enforcement have repeatedly denied this. The case is sealed, as is usual with juvenile cases, but they ended up releasing some basic details due to the public outcry.

“A petition for a ballot measure to shut down the Refugee Center failed to get enough signatures this spring,” MagicValley.com reported. Many Americans in Twin Falls now expect a renewed effort to close the College of Southern Idaho’s Refugee Center.

Clinton Cash: Khizr Khan’s Deep Legal, Financial Connections to Saudi Arabia, Hillary’s Clinton Foundation Tie Terror, Immigration, Email Scandals Together

Khizr Khan, the Muslim Gold Star father that the mainstream media and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been using to criticize Donald J. Trump, has deep ties to the government of Saudi Arabia—and to international Islamist investors through his own law firm. In addition to those ties to the wealthy Islamist nation, Khan also has ties to controversial immigration programs that wealthy foreigners can use to essentially buy their way into the United States—and has deep ties to the “Clinton Cash” narrative through the Clinton Foundation.

Khan and his wife Ghazala Khan both appeared on stage at the Democratic National Convention to attack, on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s behalf, Donald Trump—the Republican nominee for president. Their son, U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, was killed in Iraq in 2004. Khizr Khan, in his speech to the DNC, lambasted Donald Trump for wanting to temporarily halt Islamic migration to America from countries with a proven history of exporting terrorists.

Since then, Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos—who served as a senior adviser to the president in Bill Clinton’s White House and is a Clinton Foundation donor as well as a host on the ABC network—pushed Trump on the matter in an interview. Trump’s comments in that interview have sparked the same mini-rebellion inside his party, in the media and across the aisle that has happened many times before. The usual suspects inside the GOP, from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to House Speaker Paul Ryan to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have condemned Trump in one way or another. The media condemnation has been swift and Democrats, as well their friends throughout media, are driving the train as fast as they can.

But until now, it looked like the Khans were just Gold Star parents who the big bad Donald Trump attacked. It turns out, however, in addition to being Gold Star parents, the Khans are financially and legally tied deeply to the industry of Muslim migration–and to the government of Saudi Arabia and to the Clintons themselves.

Khan, according to Intelius as also reported by Walid Shoebat, used to work at the law firm Hogan Lovells, LLP, a major D.C. law firm that has been on retainer as the law firm representing the government of Saudi Arabia in the United States for years. Citing federal government disclosure forms, the Washington Free Beacon reported the connection between Saudi Arabia and Hogan Lovells a couple weeks ago.

“Hogan Lovells LLP, another U.S. firm hired by the Saudis, is registered to work for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia through 2016, disclosures show,” Joe Schoffstall of the Free Beacon reported.

The federal form filed with the Department of Justice is a requirement under the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938, which makes lobbyists and lawyers working on behalf of foreign governments and other agents from abroad with interests in the United States register with the federal government.

The government of Saudi Arabia, of course, has donated heavily to the Clinton Foundation.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given between $10 and $25 million to the foundation while Friends of Saudi Arabia has contributed between $1 and $5 million,” Schoffstall wrote.

Trump, of course, has called on Hillary Clinton to have the Clinton Foundation return the money.

“Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays,” Trump wrote in a Facebook post back in June, according to Politico. “Hillary must return all money from such countries!”

“Crooked Hillary says we must call on Saudi Arabia and other countries to stop funding hate,” Trump posted in a separate Facebook posting at the time. “I am calling on her to immediately return the $25 million plus she got from them for the Clinton Foundation!”

Of course, to this day, Hillary Clinton and her Clinton Foundation has kept the money from the Saudi Arabian government.

Schoffstall’s piece in the Washington Free Beacon also notes how Hogan Lovells lobbyist Robert Kyle, per Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, has bundled more than $50,000 in donations for Clinton’s campaign this year.

Khan’s connections with the Hogan Lovells firm run deep, according to a report from Law.com written by Katelyn Polantz.

“Many lawyers at Hogan Lovells remember the week in 2004 when U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan lost his life to a suicide bomber,” Polantz wrote. “Then-Hogan & Hartson attorneys mourned the death because the soldier’s father, Khizr Khan, a Muslim American immigrant, was among their beloved colleagues.”

Polantz wrote that Khan worked at the mega-D.C. law firm for years.

“Khan spent seven years, from 2000 to 2007, in the Washington, D.C., office of then-Hogan & Hartson,” Polantz wrote. “He served as the firm’s manager of litigation technology. Although he did not practice law while at Hogan, Khan was well versed in understanding the American courts system. On Thursday night, he described his late son dreaming of becoming a military lawyer.”

But representing the Clinton Foundation backing Saudi Arabian government and having one of its lobbyists bundle $50,000-plus for Clinton’s campaign are hardly the only places where the Khan-connected Hogan Lovells D.C. mega-firm brush elbows with Clinton Cash.

The firm also handles Hillary Clinton’s taxes and is deeply connected with the email scandal whereby when she was Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton set up a home-brew email server system that jeopardized classified information handling and was “extremely careless” according to FBI director James Comey.

“A lawyer at Hogan & Hartson [Howard Topaz] has been Bill and Hillary Clinton’s go-to guy for tax advice since 2004, according to documents released Friday by Hillary Clinton’s campaign,” The American Lawyer’s Nate Raymond wrote in 2008, as Hillary Clinton ran for president that year. “The Clintons’ tax returns for 2000-07 show combined earnings of $109 million, on which they paid $33 million in taxes. New York-based tax partner Howard Topaz has a broad tax practice, and also regularly advises corporations on M&A and executive compensation.”

Breitbart News’ Patrick Howley, in a deep investigative piece on Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, late last year uncovered how Topaz’s firm—which employed Khan while Topaz did Hillary Clinton’s taxes—is also connected to the email scandal.

“Topaz was a partner at Hogan & Hartson, which later merged to become known as Hogan Lovells, where Topaz continues to practice. The firm’s lawyers were major donors to Hillary Clinton’s first presidential campaign,” Howley wrote.

For her private email system, Clinton used a spam filtering program MX Logic.

“Hogan & Hartson handled the patent for MX Logic’s email-filtering program, which McAfee bought the small company for $140 million in 2009 in order to acquire,” Howley wrote. “The MX Logic company’s application for a trademark for its SPAMTRAQ program was filed in 2004 on Hogan & Hartson stationery and signed by a Hogan & Hartson attorney. Hogan & Hartson has been responsible for MX Logic annual reports. The email company’s Clinton links present more evidence that Clinton’s political and legal establishment was monitoring her private email use.”

If that all isn’t enough, that same Hogan & Hartson law firm—now Hogan Lovells—employed Loretta Lynch, the current Attorney General of the United States. Lynch infamously just a few weeks ago met with Bill Clinton, Hillary’s husband and the former president, on her private jet in Phoenix just before clearing Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing when it came to her illicit private email server system.

Khan’s own website for his own personal law firm KM Khan Law Office shows he represents clients in the business of buying visas to enter the United States. One of his specific areas of practice, according to the website, is “E2 Treaty Investors, EB5 Investments & Related Immigration Services.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the U.S. Senate’s Judiciary Committee, has detailed how the EB5 immigration program is “riddled with flaws and corruption.”

“Maybe it is only here on Capitol Hill—on this island surrounded by reality—that we can choose to plug our ears and refuse to listen to commonly accepted facts,” Grassley said in a statement earlier this year. “The Government Accountability Office, the media, industry experts, members of congress, and federal agency officials, have concurred that the program is a serious problem with serious vulnerabilities. Allow me to mention a few of the flaws.”

From there, Sen. Grassley listed out several of the “flaws” with the EB5 immigration program that Khan works in:

– Investments can be spent before business plans are approved.

– Regional Center operators can charge exorbitant fees of foreign nationals in addition to their required investments.

– Jobs created are not “direct” or verifiable jobs but rather are “indirect” and based on estimates and economic modeling.

– Jobs created by U.S. investors are counted by the foreign national when obtaining a green card, even if EB-5 money is only a fraction of the total invested.

– Investment funds are not adequately vetted.

– Gifts and loans are acceptable sources of funds from foreign nationals.

– The investment level has been stagnant for nearly 25 years.

– There’s no prohibition against foreign governments owning or operating regional centers or projects.

– Regional centers can be rented or sold without government oversight or approval.

– Regional centers don’t have to certify that they comply with securities laws.

– There’s no oversight of promoters who work overseas for the regional centers.

– There’s no set of sanctions for violations, no recourse for bad actors.

– There are no required background checks on anyone associated with a regional center.

– Regional centers draw Targeted Employment Area boundaries around poor areas in order to come in at a lower investment level, yet the jobs created are not actually created in those areas.

– Every Targeted Employment Area designation is rubberstamped by the agency.

– Adjudicators are pressured to get to a yes, especially for those politically connected.

– Visas are not properly scrutinized.

– Visas are pushed through despite security warnings.

– Files and applications lack basic and necessary information to monitor compliance.

– The agency does not do site visits for each and every project.

– There’s no transparency on how funds are spent, who is paid, and what investors are told about the projects they invest in.

That’s not to mention the fact that, according to Sen. Grassley, there have been serious national security violations in connection with the EB5 program that Khan works in and around already. In fact, the program—according to Grassley—was used by Middle Eastern operatives from Iran to attempt to illicitly enter the United States.

“There are also classified reports that detail the national security, fraud and abuse. Our committee has received numerous briefings and classified documents to show this side of the story,” Grassley said in the early February 2016 statement. “The enforcement arm of the Department of Homeland Security wrote an internal memo that raises significant concerns about the program. One section of the memo outlines concerns that it could be used by Iranian operatives to infiltrate the United States. The memo identifies seven main areas of program vulnerability, including the export of sensitive technology, economic espionage, use by foreign government agents and terrorists, investment fraud, illicit finance and money laundering.”

Maybe all of this is why–as Breitbart News has previously noted–the Democratic National Convention made absolutely no mention of the Clinton Foundation or Clinton Global Initiative. Hillary Clinton’s coronation ceremony spent exactly zero minutes of the four nights of official DNC programming talking about anything to do with perhaps one of the biggest parts of her biography.
