Corsi: Is the Obama Administration Programming Illegal Aliens to Abandon God?
(Dr. Jerome Corsi) – As outrageous as it is, the Obama administration is now using illegal immigration to redefine freedom of religion out of the First Amendment.
Last week, Senator James Lankford, a Republican from Oklahoma, grilled Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson why the federal government is “misrepresenting” American’s First Amendment right to freedom as a “right to worship” as the redefinition quizzed in the civics test given in the naturalization interview with immigrants legally applying for citizenship.
“We in the United States actually have freedom of religion, not freedom of worship,” Lankford, R-Okla., told Johnson yesterday during a Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing.

“The [U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services] questionnaire civics test has in it one of these things, ‘What are two rights of everyone living in the United States, and it listed out six different things: freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom to petition the government, freedom of worship, the right to bear arms,” Lankford said. “I’d love to see ‘freedom of worship’ switched to ‘freedom of religion.’”
This switch was noted by WND.com, reporting last week that Obama changed his language between his June 2009 speech in Cairo, where he spoke of a Muslim America and its “freedom of religion,” to the November 2009 memorial for the Fort Hood shooters gunned down by a radical Muslim, where Obama characterized the fundamental Constitutional freedom as “freedom of worship.”
There can be no doubt the Obama administration is waging an increasingly open war on Christianity, especially when the U.S. Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli in oral arguments before the Supreme Court last week answered Justice Samuel Alito that he same-sex marriage case was comparable to the 1983 case in which Bob Jones University, a fundamentalist Christian university in South Carolina, was not entitled to a tax-exempt status if the educational institution banned interracial marriage.
Here is the exchange between Justice Alito and Solicitor General Verrilli:
Justice Alito: Well, in the Bob Jones case, the Court held that a college was not entitled to tax-exempt status if it opposed interracial marriage or interracial dating. So would the same apply to a university or college if it opposed same-sex marriage?
General Verrilli: You know, I don’t think I can answer that question without knowing more specifics, but it’s certainly going to be an issue. I don’t deny that. I don’t deny that, Justice Alito. It is going to be an issue.
The Washington Post pointed out that Bob Jones finally dropped its ban against interracial dating and interracial marriage after then-presidential candidate George W. Bush visited in 2000.
In 2013, when I wrote Bad Samaritans: The ACLU’s Relentless Campaign to Erase Faith from the Public Square, I warned the Obama administration would use a favorable Supreme Court decision that might reach so far as to establish LGBT rights as having the same constitutional protections as African Americans can claim for race discrimination.
Should the Supreme Court declare same-sex marriage to be a right protected by the Constitution, the Obama administration can be expected both to begin legal proceedings to remove tax-exempt status from Christian churches opposed to the ruling.
Even more frightening, we should expect the Obama administration to go even farther, threating civil and possibly even criminal prosecutions charging pastors with hate crime offenses should the pastor continue to preach from the Bible that a marriage under God’s law is limited to a union between one man and one woman.
By changing the immigration naturalization civics exam to question about “freedom of worship,” the Obama administration is subtly programming immigrants that the government is the focus of “worship,” not God.
Otherwise, why redefine the traditional “freedom of religion” that has well-founded historical roots in the Judeo-Christian tradition that founded this nation to a new, bizarre re-definition of the freedom being limited to “worship,” vaguely suggesting deference to a higher authority, not “religion” defined as a rebirth of faith accepting Jesus Christ as your savior.
Tea Party Loyalists stands for the US Constitution as written, not for a redefinition of our First Amendment freedoms as re-defined by the Obama administration.
By deleting “freedom of religion” from the U.S. Constitution, the Obama administration takes another step in its unrelenting attack on Christian beliefs and traditions.
All immigrants, both legal and illegal, need to know that in the United States the First Amendment right involves a “freedom of religion” that requires no redefinition from the Obama administration.
Socialist Democrats and RINO Republicans in Washington need to understand that Tea Party Loyalists are never going to give up the fight to defend the First Amendment freedom of religion.
Especially not now, when Tea Party Loyalists are now the last line of defense against the godless New World Order globalists who plan to the dismantle the Constitution freedom-by-freedom on their rush to create an Orwellian “Big Brother” government-imposed secular utopia that aims at enslaving us all.
