The Common Core phenomenon has never been about education or "core knowledge". It is about control and profits. Mercenary humanitarian and philanthropic strategies have been used since the beginning of time, and we know that the almighty DOLLAR is POWER. He who holds the purse holds the purse strings. Bill Gates, George Soros and other MONEY MOGULS (not unlike the Rockerfellers, Vanderbilts, etc.) have advanced THEIR agenda on the unsuspecting public decades.
Currently, real time news gives us an advantage not held in the past. Nevertheless, the masses seem to be content to hide their heads in the sand. It is astounding to me that there has not been a public outcry to stop this monopoly subtly called COMMON CORE CURRICULUM STANDARDS. However, having talked to teachers who will be teaching the Common Core, I realize that they only see the innocent sheep's clothing and not the wolves underneath which is exactly what the moguls have pre-planned. The critical thinking skills of our public school teachers may need continuing education.
