In the midst of tensions with Syria, Russia, China and the Middle East region, the President of the US will spend his time addressing the LGBT groups in Russia when he visits. Not only is this a slap in the face of the Russian government, it is an embarrassment to the nation Obama represents as we look on as atrocities taking place in Syria and other mid-east countries but also in the face of an Obama foreign policy that is, at best, nebulous.
"President Obama will meet with several LGBT groups during his trip later this week to St. Petersburg, a move likely to ruffle Russian President Vladimir Putin after the recent passage of a series of anti-gay laws."
