Republican Governors Mike Pence (IN), Rick Perry (TX), Bobby Jindal (LA), Scott Walker (WI), and John Kasich (OH) participated in a panel discussion moderated by Chuck Todd. The governors discussed what they expected President Obama to announce during his address on immigration the next evening. Governor Perry said that Texas might sue the federal government over the $12 million a month they were spending on border security. Other topics included congressional partisanship, government shutdowns, education, welfare, and the 2016 presidential elections.
